Aaron's made a decision!

It's official! Aaron has decided to go to Spring Arbor University! We made a second visit to the campus this past weekend. Aaron spent the night with some current students and I had the chance to meet with the financial aid director (that's the "just have faith" and it will work part:) On Monday we took a campus tour. It was my first and Aaron's second tour. I was so impressed with the commitment they have to mentoring each student individually in their academic and spiritual growth. This small college town of Spring Arbor is approximately 10 miles east of Jackson, Michigan. My next blog might be focusing on the "Aaron Bonk scholarship fund" lol

More Winter Fun!

Yes, there's more snow. Abbey had a friend over to play in the snow. They lasted about ten minutes outside. Even Alyssa who loves to be outside is ready for the snow to go!

Happy 16th Birthday, Alex!

16 years ago tonight Alexander Joseph Bonk was born 4 weeks early. He never has been very patient. Today he went to get his driver's license and is gone snowboarding. So much for spending birthdays with Mom and Dad. To describe Alex accurately would be impossible. He's all over the board: active, energetic, smart, witty, sensitive, dramatic and funny all rolled into one.

Happy birthday, Alex! We are so very proud of you and love you very much!

Hooked on blogging

Okay, I got a bit hooked on blogging so I thought I'd try to focus more on family happenings. Please be patient as I try to figure out how this site works. We have so many upcoming happenings this year with Aaron graduating and new Haiti trips possibly in the works that I thought this would be a great way to keep long distance friends and family informed. (If they so choose to follow:)

Please keep Scott in your prayers. He's sore this week and there's a lump on his lower back. It's a bit scary for us after last fall's experience. He's calling the doctor tomorrow and hoping to get an x-ray. They have already sent us a prescription for an x-ray every 2 weeks so it will be reassurance for us to have it done.

Alex will be 16 tomorrow! He's hoping to get his license tomorrow! Scott's birthday is on Monday. We are throwing a small surprise party at Paul and Tina's Saturday. He thinks were going to play cards. It's a new year. Time to celebrate. (Don't worry. He doesn't know about this site yet:)

Be blessed!
